Stargate: Ark of Truth Defining God by What He's Not Melinda Ledman, HJ TV Editor
Now that I have shamelessly confessed my obsession and addiction to this series in my short review, I suppose I should be able to speak rationally about it from a spiritual perspective. The show tries very deliberately not to endorse any particular
religion, but often borrows religious ideas and belief systems.
But, even with all of this mixing and matching, the
creators have defined some
of the fundamental truths about God by accident. I recognize that they
have tried very hard not to endorse any belief system, and I give them
major kudos for pulling it off pretty successfully... but... By defining what a god is not, the series has essentially explored much of who the Judeo-Christian God claims to be. Click through for more about season wrap-ups, other season openers, and series premieres.

American Idol
But Do We?
Jacob Sahms | 04/12/08 | Click to Comment American Idol gave back on Wednesday night,
and $22 million worth of support already rolled in. As people of faith,
what are we doing? And is it enough? I'll have less time for reality
television, and more time for reality, and that won't be bad at all.
Heroes
Do the Fittest Search for Meaning?
Shawn Larson | 04/05/08 What makes a person special is their
ability to become stronger and survive through the evolutionary process
of natural selection. Suresh begins a dialog in his classroom,
basically claiming that if any species was made in God's image, it
would have been the cockroach...
Dexter
This Isn't Nearly as Shocking as it Should Be
Maurice Broaddus | 03/24/08 Dexter clearly is psychotic, incapable of
human interactions and feelings, but he fakes them well. He remains
ever guarded beneath his facade of relative normalcy, controlling the
chaos his urges dispose him to. For him, the blood tells the story of
justice.
