In the midst of doubt and suffering the following verse has been a source of encouragement.

“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” 1 Peter 5:10

God doesn’t tell us we will not experience difficult and trying times in this life. In fact, he does the opposite and tells us that we will almost certainly experience those things. However, as a Christ-follower, we have the assurance that in those times of doubt and suffering that God does not leave us alone. Today on our list we have 12 movies about doubt and suffering. These movies tell stories of hardship, pain, and times in life when things don’t seem to make much sense. While these films are not all “faith-based” films we do think encouragement can be found in seeing stories of hope in suffering play out in front of you.
