If you are a parent it probably goes without saying that this journey raising children is no walk in the park. Parenthood is filled with lessons for both our children and ourselves as the parents. It comes with challenges no one could have warned us about and decisions we never thought we’d have to make.

Our children are so worth every sacrifice and as a parent we would take any challenge, tough decision and hard lesson over and over again if it meant our children were safe, happy and cared for. Today on our list we have 10 songs that talk about a lot of this same stuff. These songs share the challenges of parenting but remind us of the beauty of the journey.

As many of you prepare to send your children into the new school year, some off to college and others into new life stages we hope these songs will encourage you. Be warned they may also make you a bit emotional.

Help us rank these songs by voting for your favorite(s).
