I was able to play each character after is saw the film twice! The film was like my family. My brother tries to hate our father's girlfriend like Anna did in the movie. This film was the first time I saw Julia Roberts in a movie. And she was AWESOME

Toward the end of the movie, when the daughter realizes that her mother is dying of cancer, there is a wonderful illustration of the dynamics of the Christian lifestyle. After the daughter storms off mad about the situation her mother has left her in, she goes to her room to pout. This is so typical of how we are in life..when we feel that God has wronged us in some way and we remain angry and selfish. However, just like the daughter in the movie, we hear the music that reflects the life of faith and we are drawn to it...we are curious. Sometimes we go kicking and screaming. Regardless, though, we are drawn to God and what he has to offer. As she opens the door she admits and confesses her actions. Susan Sarandon does just like God does when we come to him...he invites us to participate in the celebration...to live a life rejoicing with Him. How appropriate too that the music played reflects that there isn't any mountain high enough or valley low enough to keep His love from us.

Dear Sir/Madam, I was very happy when I learned about existence of special site of the famous movie 'StepMom'. [1998, Director Chris Columbus; Co-stars: Julia Roberts, Susan Sarandon, Ed Harris, Jena Malone, Liam Aiken; Story Gigi Levangie; Studio Tri-Star Pictures]. But at the same time, after reading the script of this movie from the site http://www.crosswinds.net/~jfroberts/stepmomscript.htm I was upset because it doesn't correspond with original sound of the movie. I have the video copy of this movie and I enjoy it a lot. Its subject and actor play is very interesting and funny for me. But my problem is that I have been learning English only for two years and I can't comprehend some places in the soundtrack of this movie. So I would like to ask you to send me an exact text script, which corresponds to the original soundtrack of this movie, if that is possible, of course, or to inform me where I can really find it out in the Web. In turn I can to make own translation of this text script into russian and than send it to you if you need. I look forward to your soonest reply

I loved it. Susan and Julia deserve oscar nominations. Direction wasn't the best and neither was the title, but the acting was amazing.
