HJAG 2007 Schedule Heats Up Greg Wright, Managing Editor
The Hollywood Jesus Annual Gathering (HJAG) will convene in Renton, Washington this December 29-31. HJAG is an annual event designed for HJ's staff (and readers!) to meet for fellowship, training, and education.
Events include workshops and panel discussions, movie screenings followed by analysis from a "spiritual point of view," and the New Year's Eve "Clips Party," where staffers share their favorite bits of media from the past year.
Confirmed special guests this year include: Jeffrey Overstreet, author of Through a Screen Darkly and Auralia's Colors; Peter Chattaway, blogger and contributor to CT Movies and Books and Culture; David Bruce, our fearless leader; and Mike Gunn, pastor at Harambee Church and author of The Da Vinci Code Adventure.
Check out the detailed program calendar (and scroll through the calendar to the week of December 29), and watch for further newsletters about registration info.

Narnia Coverage Relaunches Greg Wright
One of HJ's most popular special coverage sections in recent years featured The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. In addition to a daily news blog about the discussion, we also featured monthly articles looking at each of the seven books in the Chronicles from literary and spiritual viewpoints.
The second film in the series, Prince Caspian, is due out next May. In anticipation of that event, we've relaunched our Narnia coverage at HJ Live! Mark Sommer, pictured at right, is hosting our new Narnia News blog, and we'll have monthly analyses of The Chronicles once more, too -- this time from the viewpoint of children's author Regina Doman and Chronicles newbie (and engineer!) Andrew Townsend.
Join us for these new features, and be sure to check out the LWW archive, too.
Two Roads through Narnia, published by HJ Books, also might make a nice Christmas gift this season. Covering all seven books of the Chronicles, it brings together under one cover all of the resources we compiled during the run-up to the release of LWW.
