The Top 9 of '09! Jacob Sahms, Music Editor
With apologies to Paramore and Thousand Foot Krutch, I've got my top
10 albums of 2009 for your listening pleasure and your
Christmas-gift-giving consideration. I know, I know: it's early. But
the truth is, looking out over the next few months, I'm not convinced
that anything will knock these from a top spot. In fact, I've left one
spot for upcoming albums by Paramore, Pearl Jam, and the host of others
who will try to convince me that theirs is better.
So, without further ado, here are my top 9 albums of 2009...

Green Day
Leave It To Fate? No Thanks
Poets, philosophers, political critics and punks, Green Day returns
with another rock opera, and this one provides as much entertainment as
it does polemic attack on the previous political administration.
After
Billie Joe Armstrong's distorted vocal introduction, the album takes
off in its three-part delivery, beginning with the title track in the
Heroes and Cons section, before turning to Charlatans and Saints, and
finally Horseshoes and Handgrenades.
But that gets ahead of the story,
so dive in and enjoy.
With the opening salvo, the band rocks it out...
