The Best of Music Summer Jacob Sahms, Music Editor
Things have been a little slow in the music department lately... The
new releases just aren't quite as explosive, and the recession seems to
have slowed down the publicity efforts to get us the music ahead of
time. But the music folks continue to slave effortlessly for your
listening pleasure.
Looking forward, you should have available for your reading eyes a review of The Black Eyed Peas' The E.N.D. by the time this prints, as well as Anti-Flag's The People or The Gun
(and a long overdue review of TV on the Radio's latest).

TV on the Radio: Dear Science
Better Than Expected
I listened to Return to Cookie Mountain in 2006 and
wondered what the big fuss was all about. I just didn't dig the
experimental rock deal that the group had going for them at the time,
but I felt obliged to give Dear Science a spin when TV on the Radio dropped their fourth album.
Naturally, the band changed my mind, and here I write this to you now.
Socially conscious, the band refuses to accept the status quo and
calls for listeners to do some thumbing of their noses in the face of
dictators (political and otherwise) everywhere. There are elements of
"shut up and dance," "let the caged bird fly," and "I still haven't
found what I'm looking for" throughout the disc...
