Bottom line: Excellent script and acting, and the critics love it.
Here
is the story of 3 little boys and 3 moms. All the "boys" may be over 21,
and the "moms" may be unmarried and childless, but boys and moms they
nonetheless are!
Vegas is the play ground where the three little
boys go to play. The three women in their lives are their surrogate
moms... who mother the boys in very different ways. The interaction
between them is all played for hilarious laughs.
We all need mothering, don't we?

The Hit List: Remembering What
Freedom is All About
In less than a week, the United States will celebrate the 4th of July
with barbecues, beach volleyball, and the biggest fireworks displays of
the year. What many of us don't always remember is that the 4th is also
a day of thanksgiving for the independence it celebrates.
So, in anticipation of the big day, here is Associate Editor Elisabeth Leitch's list of ten films to help remind us what freedom is all about.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Because I Believe
Elisabeth Leitch
The film has too much that
gets in the way of this being a truly enjoyable sequel. Were it not for
the fact it looks so amazing on the big screen, I'd say wait until it's
on DVD so you can skip to all the good parts. Too much. Enough!

The Stoning of Soraya M.
Producer Stephen McEveety
efrain gomez
Stephen McEveety has produced some of the most compelling and
profitable films in American cinema, including some of my favorites: Braveheart and The Passion of the Christ, and more recently, the indie "biggie" Bella. He's also no stranger to controversy.
"It was important to be authentic," he says. "[Stoning] is such a horrific punishment, to
water it down would be an injustice to its victims. ... If no one tells the story, no one
knows about it and nothing can be done about it. I feel an obligation
to tell the world if I can when I can, and I was able to do that with Soraya. We have to stand up for people who can't help themselves. It's part of our job as humans, our obligation."

He's Just Not That Into You
Neil, Beth, and Betrothal
Melinda Ledman
The idea of Christ as the groom and the Church as the bride always
escaped me. Surely Christ is not ignorant of the conflict we will bring
to our relationship with him, and no Christian is fooled into believing
that life is all wine and roses.
