The reviews are overwhelmingly positive. Why? Because this film
effectively embodies that Star Trek tradition of optimism.
It simply
connects with that need within all of us to focus and move forward... To
create a better future in our Trek to the Stars.
Philippians 3:11-13 (New Living Translation) I
don't mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I
have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that
perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. No, dear brothers
and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing:
Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on
to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which
God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

The Hit List: Ten Other Films That Didn't Kill the Church
Ted Baehr calls this coming Friday's Ron Howard / Tom Hanks project Angels and Demons
an "anti-Christian message" that faith in Christ is "outdated." The
Vatican calls the film "Two hours of harmless entertainment." Which is
it?
Well, as the Irish say, "When everyone tells you you're
drunk, you better sit down."
Here are ten other films that failed to
destroy the "genius and mystery of Christianity," as the Vatican describes it.

More Reviews of Star Trek
A Blockbuster With Great Themes
Aaron Kamp
From the clever casting, the slick production design, to the amazing
musical score, everything is in place to make this a very successful
film. And for an action film, there is a lot of character development.
Abrams hits all the right emotional notes.
A New Start, A Good Start Yo
If there ever was a franchise in desperate need of reboot, Star Trek is
it... and apparently J.J. Abrams was the right man for the job. The film
does far more right than it does wrong, a fresh, exciting, lively, and
fun Star Trek for the next generation.
More Than Just A Ship Elisabeth Leitch
While there are some things you can change when you introduce advanced
physics, wormholes, and warp speed into the picture, there are some
things that you simply cannot erase. And on the Starship Enterprise
that which remains is its crew. Also Reviewed...
