Iron Man
The Herald Of Summer Has Arrived
Yo Snyder
Iron Man kicks off the summer in exactly the right way with plenty of
fun, flash and action. That's not to say it's a perfect movie, or even
a great movie, but it is a lot fun and accomplishes what is sets out to
do: launch a new superhero franchise.
Made of Honor
Suprised by Love
Elisabeth Leitch
Whoever we are and whatever our lives may have lead us to believe,
every single one of us is meant to have love in our lives. Sometimes,
that love will be right in front of us. Other times, it will ride in
from a direction we never expected.
Then She Found Me
Of Pain and Beauty
Elisabeth Leitch
If you do believe in God, it is impossible not wonder how he could let
bad things happen, why he can't just use his power to catch us before
we trip and stumble and fall. But to accept flawed reality is to also
come to terms with the God who allows that reality.

Free DVDs!!
Ace of Hearts
Courtesy of Fox Home Video, you can be one of three lucky Hollywood Jesus News readers to win a copy of this straight-to-DVD family film -- due out this Tuesday, May 6.
The film is based on a Reader's Digest "true story," about a police dog wrongly accused of harming a suspect.
To enter the drawing, simply reply to this newsletter at news@hollywoodjesus.com with the words "Ace of Hearts" in the subject line. On May 11, we'll draw three entries from the tons we know we'll receive. We'll then contact you directly to confirm your mailing address. DVDs will arrive a couple of weeks after that.
Look for Patrick Zalamea's review at HJ this week!

Prince Caspian The Chronicles of Narnia Continue May 16
In just two weeks, the much-anticipated sequel to The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe comes to local theaters... And at HJ, we're more than ready.
For months now, Mark Sommer has been covering all the Narnia News that's fit to print, and just got back from the film's premiere in New York City where he participated in interviews with cast and crew. Be sure to check in regularly at HJ's Narnia News blog this coming Friday for updates about what Mark saw and heard.
Also be sure to check out the work of novelist Regina Doman and Andrew Townsend at HJ's Narnia Features. The two have been covering the entire seven books of the Chronicles; this coming weekend, they'll be wrapping up The Last Battle... just in time for the debut of Prince Caspian on May 16. |

Actors Can't Skate, Either
CoachZ
This movie proves a couple of things for me: first, figure skaters
can't act (Sasha Cohen is in this one); second, Kids love the darndest
movies (mine won't stop watching it). Rent/Queue it (even if it's for
the kids).
27 Dresses
Even the Selfless Have Needs
CoachZ
This
movie reminds me of the saying, "Always a bridesmaid, never a bride."
This movie also reminds me of the pre-flight warning: "If you are
sitting next to someone that needs assistance with their oxygen mask,
please make sure yours is secure first." |
