Alice in Wonderland
Leaves You Wanting
Yo
Tim Burton certainly seems like a natural choice if one is going to do a live-action Alice in Wonderland, and he is. Still, there's a lot is this film that just isn't quite what it could be, but it's still enjoyable nonetheless.

Spiritual Cinema Circle
Greg Wright, Managing Editor
We recently brought you news about one unique distribution channels for films that matter: Official Best of Fest. Right now at Hollywood Jesus, we're running ads for another that's really worth bringing to your attention: the Spiritual Cinema Circle. Their current offering is Uncross the Stars, a low-budget drama about loss and restoration that I enjoyed very much... and will be keeping in my own DVD library.
As with the longer-established FilmMovement,
which aims at the more secular and broader art-house audience, the
Spiritual Cinema Circle is a monthly-fee-based club in which, as part
of your membership, you're sent a new DVD each month... not to rent and
return, but keep as part of your private movie library. And the niche
emphasis of the Circle might bring just the kind of quality movies
you're looking for directly to you, pre-screened and selected, reducing
the guesswork and frustration (and expense) of culling through the
offerings at your local multiplex. Click through for more about the Spiritual Cinema Circle... Or click here to start a free trial!

Ran
Japanese Classic Gets Royal Treatment Darrel Manson
This is a film that treats the medium as an art form. It is more than
just telling the story (which is done masterfully). It also is a visual
delight. Those who love cinematography and production design will
delight in this film.
