Bolt (2008) | Review
The Greatest Power of All
Elisabeth Leitch
But as Bolt and his friends show us throughout the movie, within us all is the ability to be a friend. While we may not be able to bend bars or move the earth for those we love, we can remain nearby during hardship, offer encouragement amid confusion, and join in the excitement of joy. We do not need to be pop stars, multimillionaires, or geniuses. We do not need to have pedigrees, superpowers, or Olympic medals. To be a good friend to those we love, all we need is our unique self, our love, and our loyalty. And as we see as Bolt ends, when it comes to finding our own value and place in this world, in even the simple role of a friend lies a sense of purpose, power, and fulfillment just as great or greater than the most powerful superhero out there. Check back in Sunday for an addition Bolt feature with a look behind its scenes and glimpse into the new Disney/Pixar collaboration behind it. Continue: 1 2 Copyright © 2008 Hollywood Jesus.
