Synopsis:
The "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie will be the first all CG animated movie in the history of the franchise. The PG-rated movie will derive its tone from the original comic-book series and will be grittier than the previous live action pictures.

In any event, there are some pretty serious moments in this film, and it’s nice to see that the filmmakers weren’t worried about losing the attention of the kids in the film and treated the Turtles and their world seriously… at least as seriously as one can treat a world where turtles mutate into ninjas to fight monsters.


There were times where I just caught up in admiring the beauty of the animation

My favorite part of TMNT was how great it looked. The turtles move with a fluid grace that fans haven’t seen before, and the fights scenes are beautifully choreographed and just as exciting as anything seen in a live action martial arts film. Plus the CG itself is absolutely beautiful. There were times where I just caught up in admiring the beauty of the animation instead of paying attention to what was taking place on screen.

Perhaps it’s because I’m a turtle fan at heart, or maybe it’s because at heart I’m really just a big kid. Whatever the reason, I really enjoyed TMNT. From the amazing animation to the spectacular fights to the surprisingly dramatic moments, there’s a lot to like with the Turtles’ return to the big screen. What it all boils down to is what any movie is supposed to be: fun. TMNT is a lot of fun. Sometimes it just feels good to enjoy the simply joys and excitement of childhood all over again; thanks to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and their latest movie, I got to do that, if only for an hour and a half
