![]() (Trailer can be downloaded) STUDIO SYNOPSIS: Whether you love him or hate him, there is no question that George W. Bush is one of the most controversial public figures in recent memory. In an unprecedented undertaking, acclaimed director Oliver Stone is bringing the life of our 43rd President to the big screen as only he can. "W." takes viewers through Bush's eventful life -- his struggles and triumphs, how he found both his wife and his faith, and of course the critical days leading up to Bush's decision to invade Iraq. ![]() SPIRITUAL POINT OF VIEW (continued from visual review) In his approach to this biopic of George W. Bush, director Oliver Stone said, “It’s much more interesting and real if you try to empathize and understand, if not always approve.” In a broader sense of everyday day, I find these words an very good rule of thumb. What a different world it would be if we all approached each other with empathy and understanding ?even if we don’t always agree or approve. The main question/point of the film is, “How will history remember you?” Now there is a good question to ask, not just of G. W. Bush, but of ourselves. As Socrates famously wrote, "An unexamined life is not worth living." HOW WILL HISTORY REMEMBER YOU? "We make a living by what we get; we make a life by what we give.” -- Winston Churchill
