STUDIO SYNOPSIS
Vin Diesel and Paul Walker reteam for the ultimate chapter of the franchise built on speed -- "Fast & Furious." Heading back to the streets where it all began, they rejoin Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster to blast muscle, tuner and exotic cars across Los Angeles and floor through the Mexican desert in the new high-octane action-thriller. When a crime brings them back to L.A., fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto (Diesel) reignites his feud with agent Brian O'Conner (Walker). But as they are forced to confront a shared enemy, Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to outmanuever him. And from convoy heists to precision tunnel crawls across international lines, two men will find the best way to get revenge: push the limits of what's possible behind the wheel. SPIRITUAL POINT OF VIEW (continued from the visual review) Former Chrysler CEO, Lee Iacocca once said, “The speed of the boss is the speed of the team.” He understood the connection between a speed car and life itself. As I was viewing this film looking for review connections, it came to me that racing cars can be a metaphor of life. In fact, there are many life lessons that can be drawn from car racing, such as: preparation, practice, skill, experience, timing, team work, strategic planning etc. Perhaps such connections helped this film to a whopping 74 million dollar opening, despite very bad reviews from the press. Apparently people need such stories, as testified by the great boxoffice, even if the critics failed to see any. ![]() Copyright © 2009 Hollywood Jesus. All rights reserved.
