SPIRITUAL POINT OF VIEW
(continued from the visual review)
Former Chrysler CEO, Lee Iacocca once said, “The speed of the boss is the speed of the team.”  He understood the connection between a speed car and life itself. As I was viewing this film looking for review connections, it came to me that racing cars can be a metaphor of life. In fact, there are many life lessons that can be drawn from car racing, such as: preparation, practice, skill, experience, timing, team work, strategic planning etc.  Perhaps such connections helped this film to a whopping 74 million dollar opening, despite very bad reviews from the press. Apparently people need such stories, as testified by the great boxoffice, even if the critics failed to see any.
