Narnia Feature Articles
Greg Wright
As you may have been reading over on the Narnia News blog, hosted by Mark Sommer, we're in for a good long stretch of Narnia. In May of 2008, the sequel to the blockbuster The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is due to hit theaters. Prince Caspian will feature the same principal actors reprising their roles as the four Pevensie children, and (presumably!) Liam Neeson as the voice of Aslan. At Comicon 2007, Disney announced that the remaining five books of the Chronicles would be adapted into films one each May through 2013; since then, reality has set in and it looks like the timing will be about 18 months between the opening of each film, not twelve. In any event, Prince Caspian is just about seven months away—just enough months for HJ to once again take a look at the seven books of the Chronicles from a big-picture perspective. Helping us out this time around will be best-selling children's author Regina Doman, who will be writing monthly articles about the Chronicles from a writer's perspective; and Andrew Townsend, contributor to HJ's Lord of the Rings coverage, who will be writing about the Chronicles from a father's (and newbie's) point of view. Be sure to check out Regina's and Andrew's Narnia Features articles over the coming weeks. We appreciate the enthusiasm with which our coverage of LWW was received—and we're glad to be back!
