Day 19 and 20

Hi Everyone
Well, we’ve got ourselves a movie that is even beyond anything I could have dreamed or imagined! On Friday, we finished the Israel location work and the physical effects were second to none. The explosions were massive and realistic, complete with crashed aircraft and the destruction that will follow the prophesied and futile invasion of Israel that will come in fulfillment of Ezekiel 38 and 39.

On Saturday we were in a studio where we have built a massive underground Israeli defense center. When you see the pictures of the set I trust you will be as amazed as we were. Having the Hebrew actors in there shouting in panic, in Hebrew, was surrealistic. One interesting thing was that we hired a third party contractor to do the signs which were in both Hebrew and English and so we had to bring in a separate Hebrew speaking person to make sure that the signs were authentic. You never know if some kid might decide to put "Hi Mom" in Hebrew somewhere.

The studio is 8000 square feet and we used every square inch of it. What breaks my heart is that today is Tuesday and the set will probably have already been torn down by now. It seems such a waste of $$$$$$. But, that’s show business.

On Sunday the movie became what we had dreamed was possible. More important than the special effects, the explosions and the big sets was the fact that on Sunday we captured on film -–eternal truth. This was Kirk’s big scene. It was the moment when Buck comes to know the Lord. Kirk had prayed about this with us for weeks and now the moment had come. I can tell you right now that it is powerful and real. Kirk has personally experienced the transformation from darkness unto light and he brought that experience to the big screen in as powerful a moment and I’ve ever seen. This scene is something that we can give the audience that no Hollywood Studio can. They can do the effects and the big sets, but this they have never done. I believe that millions will be touched by this single moment. This is what Christian filmmaking is all about. Can you tell I’m on Cloud Ten? Now do you know where our name comes from?

Tomorrow is another big scene. It is Nicolae at the UN in the climactic scene where he shoots Stonagal and Cothran. Then the rest of the week is in and around the UN which makes up the final large chuck of the film. It is going to be quite exciting to see the final pieces coming together. God willing,
