Poet
JOHN GREENLEAF WHITTIER (18071892)
has it right when he comments on the biblical phrase, "We
reap what we sow":
The
tissue of the Life to be
We weave with colors all our own,
And in the field of destiny
We reap as we have sown.
THE
FINAL THOUGHT IN MINORITY REPORT HAS IT RIGHT:
"Because, you know what is going to happen. You can change
it."
You do have choice.
Destiny does not alter personal responsibility and accountability.
You reap what you sow, this is your destiny.
Destiny and choice work hand in hand.
Choose
to loverather than hate
Choose to smilerather than frown
Choose to buildrather than destroy
Choose to persevererather than quit
Choose to praiserather than gossip
Choose to healrather than wound
Choose to giverather than grasp
Choose to actrather than delay
Choose to forgiverather than curse
Choose to prayrather than despair.
LEON
MORRIS:
God has no need of marionettes. He pays men the compliment of
allowing them to live without him if they choose. But if they
live without him in this life, they must also live without him
in the next.
OSWALD
CHAMBERS (18741917)
The destiny of every human being depends on his relationship
to Jesus Christ. It is not on his relationship to life, or on
his service or his usefulness, but simply and solely on his relationship
to Jesus Christ.
This
popular saying may contain the essence of the biblical message:
God predestines every one to be saved. The devil predestines
every one to be damned. Each of us has the casting vote.
