Over the years, Gary has stayed afloat through a combination of talent, street smarts and an honor-among-thieves philosophy. But after his true love, Linda (Andie MacDowell) dumps him, and a ruthless rival, Casino, sets his sights on becoming the city's new "ticket master," Gary finds his world falling apart around him.

Tired of Gary's broken promises and irresponsibility, and needing to know what her future holds, Linda has accepted a scholarship to the Cordon Bleu in Paris. Her eagerness to pursue her dream of becoming a world-class chef is tempered by the bittersweet realization that Gary, a man she has believed in for eight long years, is still trying to win her back.

But for Gary, the future is always just another scheme away. Orphaned and living on the streets by the age of 13, Gary is an expert at maneuvering through the concrete jungle of New York, but where his personal demons are involved, he is lamentably clueless. If he has any chance of holding on to Linda, he will have to confront his past.

It is just what Gary has been praying for: the last big score -- his ticket out of this world and the best chance to deliver all he's ever promised to Linda. If he can only pull it off in time. With the help of his one-time mentor Benny (Richard Bradford), Gary sets off in search of his personal redemption. Humbled by time, Benny understands Gary's desperation and realizes everyone's need for someone to count on in the world. Those valuable Pope tickets mean everything -- and yet he can't get around Casino, his ruthless rival.

Desperate to deliver, Gary must decide just how badly he wants this "score." As Gary's moral sense begins to waiver, Benny attempts to guide his friend down the right road. Barely one step ahead of the law, Gary presses on against the odds in pursuit of his dreams. But will his efforts and intentions be enough to win back the woman he truly loves?

Directed by Richard Wenk from his original screenplay, and produced by Andy Garcia's Cineson Productions, Just The Ticket weaves a story of love, redemption and faith around a ticket scalper with one last chance to hold onto the girl he loves.
