SYNOPSIS

Paul
Morse (Lee) is a good guy. When his friends throw him a wild bachelor
party, he just wants to keep his conscience clean - which is why
he's shocked when he wakes up in bed with a beautiful girl named
Becky (Stiles) and can't remember the night before. Worse than that,
she also happens to be his fiancée's cousin.
Desperate
to keep his fiancée, Karen (Blair), from finding out what
may or may not be the truth, he tells her a teensy lie. Which turns
into a bigger lie. From the bachelor party to the wedding, soon
his lies are spiraling out of control and his entire life is a series
of comical misunderstandings. It's amazing how much can change because
of one little thing - A GUY THING.

Paul
Morse is engaged to Karen. At his Bachelor Party he meets Becky, a
Tiki dancer. Paul passes out -to much to drink. The next morning he
wakes up to discover Becky in his bed. He is totally surprised and
mystified. |
|
|
Although
nothing sexual had happened she is missing her panties. With Karen
on her way over, Paul sends Becky on her way. Everything seems to
be okay. His fiancée would never know! Or, would she? |
|
|
Paul's
fiancée, Karen, asks how the bachelor party went. Paul avoids
mentioning the incident with Becky, of course, and confesses to having
had a few drinks. Everything thing seemed to be going well for Paul,
when... |
|
|
...Karen
finds Becky's panties.
"What are these?" she asks.
Paul begins to construct lies by telling her that he bought them for
her as a gift. However, they are dirty. Karen finds his story hard
to believe, but eventually does. |
|
|
To
further complicated the developing situation, Paul discovers that
Becky is Karen's cousin. This discovery happens when he runs into
Becky at a wedding rehearsal dinner at his soon-to-be in-laws. His
solution: Hide out in the bathroom and avoid Becky! |
|
|
Hiding
did not work, so the next day Paul attempts to smooth the waters with
Becky to protect his upcoming wedding. Of course, what now begins
is a deepening relationship between Becky and Paul. |
|
|
Paul's
life is being reduced to lies and secretes. Not being totally open
with Karen chips away at their intimacy. And the unexpected and developing
romantic flames between Paul and Becky are compounding the situation.
There is only one way out for Paul. He needs to come clean, and make
full confession before others ...which will come through a minister
who just happens to live next door. |
|
|

Even his friends understand the problem Paul is facing. Even they
know Paul needs to take action. |
|
|

The wedding ceremony begins.... |

Paul sweats it out at the altar... |
|
And
then, at the urging of the minister, Paul speaks truth, to everyone,
and suddenly miracles happen. What happens? I will not give away
the ending, but I will say that confession and truth prove to be
the great liberators. The issue in this film is "being real."
Margery Williams said it best, Real isnt how you are
made said the Skin Horse. Its a thing that happens
to you. . . . When you are Real, you dont mind being hurt.
. . . It doesnt happen all at once. It takes a long time.
Thats why it doesnt often happen to people who break
easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally,
by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off,
and your eyes drop out, and you get loose in the joints and very
shabby. But these things dont matter at all because once you
are real you cant be ugly, except to people who dont
understand.
This
film will not win awards. It's just a fun film with a great moral
lessons about being transparent, real and honest. Its about the
liberation that brings! Enjoy the film! I did.
