Featured Review: Halo Wars Click Through for More Details at The Playbox
RTS Done Well On The Xbox 360
There are tons of games that make you feel like a "one man army" by
giving you more weapons than any human could possibly carry at once... and
unleashing you on hordes of ineffective but numerous enemies whose sole
purpose seems to be to get in the way of as many of your bullets as
possible.
Well, those games are fun, but sometimes it's nice to be
reminded that wars aren't always won by just one man (or woman), and
that sometimes it takes a vast, complicated war machine composed of
many parts all working together in order to achieve victory. Halo Wars
doesn't quite deliver on that experience, but it is a different and
mostly fun take on the Halo universe, and it's one of the few real-time
strategy games that works well on a console: a rare attribute
indeed...
