Yo, Games EditorThe March Forecast
Plenty to Get You Hot This Spring
Yo Snyder, HJ Playbox Editor

There was a time when the months between January and early spring were the doldrums of the gaming year. Sometimes, the gaming lull lasted all the way until August when Madden released and unofficially began the football season. These were hard months for gamers. With their Christmas games thoroughly played through, and nothing new on the horizon, gamers often had to turn to other diversions in order to pass the time.

But that is now all in the past. Apparently, developers and the Big Three have finally realized that gamers would like to play games all year long, not just in the fall. So here in 2008, we have a solid slate of quality titles trickling out in just about every month of every quarter, starting with some major releases in this month of March.

Madden Keeps The NFL
EA Extends Exclusivity Deal
Has the football genre really benefited from one developer having the rights to the NFL? Find out for how long and what that means for you.

Percentage Of Mature Games Shrinks
Gaming Not As Depraved As Advertised
Mature rated video games (games intended for people 17 and older) get a lot of press and attention from the media. They cause controversy and make it seem like all gaming is an assault on the decent morals of society. But are games really as depraved as we've been led to believe? You may be surprised at what games are the biggest sellers.
