For producer Kirschner, FRAILTY raises important questions about the viability of faith in the modern world. "Today, if someone says 'God spoke to me,' we think that they're crazy," he says. "Yet, the Old Testament is based on God's conversations with Moses. We want to believe that it happened then, but we can't accept that it might happen today. That's what so fascinating about FRAILTY. WHAT IS THE WORD OF GOD?
REVELATION an uncovering, a bringing to light of that which had been previously wholly hidden or only obscurely seen. God has been pleased in various ways and at different times (Hebrews 1:1) to make a supernatural revelation of himself and his purposes and plans, which, under the guidance of his Spirit, has been committed to writing. -Easton's Bible Dictionary.
It is believed that the Bible is the written word (revelation) of God.
And that Jesus Christ is the living word (revelation) of God.
Beyond these revelations of God, there is necessary suspicion.
WHY DO CHRISTIANS BELIEVE THAT THE BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD
Westminster Confession (1647): "We may be moved and induced by the testimony of the Church to an high and reverend esteem of the Holy Scripture. And the heavenliness of the matter, the efficacy of the doctrine, the majesty of the style, the consent of all the parts, the scope of the whole (which is, to give all glory to God), the full discovery it makes of the only way of humanity?s salvation, the many other incomparable excellencies, and the entire perfection thereof, are arguments whereby it doth abundantly evidence itself to be the Word of God: yet notwithstanding, our full persuasion and assurance of the infallible truth and divine authority thereof, is from the inward work of the Holy Spirit bearing witness by and with the Word in our heart."
It was God's purpose thus to perpetuate his revealed will. From time to time he raised up men to commit to writing in an infallible record the revelation he gave. The ?Scripture,? or collection of sacred writings, was thus enlarged from time to time as God saw necessary. We have now a completed ?Scripture,? consisting of the Old and New Testaments. The Old Testament canon in the time of our Lord was precisely the same as that which we now possess under that name. He placed the seal of his own authority on this collection of writings, as all equally given by inspiration (Matthew 5:17; Matthew 7:12; Matthew 22:40; Luke 16:29, 31). --Easton's Bible Dictionary
 JESUS AS THE WORD OF GOD

In the beginning the Word already existed.
He was with God,
and he was God.
He was in the beginning with God.
He created everything there is.
Nothing exists that he didn't make.
Life itself was in him, and this life gives light to everyone.
The light shines through the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it....
So the Word became human and lived here on earth among us.
He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness.
And we have seen his glory,
the glory of the only Son of the Father.
