Shooting movies is a far cry from shooting jumpshots. What inspired your move to the filmmaking industry?
 
A. C. Green: I've been blessed to inspire millions of people on the court. Now I want to inspire millions off the court. I want to make movies which the whole family can go see -- ones that have a strong message and that guarantee a family discussion. I'm not satisfied until I've made a connection to the viewer.

You've always been very outspoken about your faith. How do your Christian principles affect your approach to the film business?
 
ACG: I'm really concerned with making quality film projects that have substance to their storyline. Ones that I would not be ashamed to ask Jesus to watch with me.

The late Bob Briner often spoke of the need for "Roaring Lambs" -- for Christians to dedicate themselves to excellence in reclaiming the arts from our increasingly secular culture. Do you see Integrity Media as a step toward filling this void?
 
ACG: Yes I do. I think those who have the answer need to start stepping up with the message that lives within them, and producing the truth that this culture is looking for.

During your tenure with the Lakers (I was a rabid Sonics fan during those years!) you played with some of the greatest basketball stars of the period -- and never seemed to mind giving credit to others where it was due. Whose work in film do really admire right now?
 
ACG: Denzel Washington -- not only for his ability to act, but also his mind, to be able to direct as well. Antwone Fisher is a perfect example of what he's capable of.
