Although the story is very new age, it speaks to a deep desire that most people have: To be free! The bird in the cage represents the inner spirit in all of us that is caged by our body in this dimension of time and space. The Bible speaks of being absent from the body and present with the Lord. This is the soul travel experienced at death. The film ultimately ends with learning how to be free despite the circumstances around us. Have you ever felt the need to transcend difficulties, to leave the body, to be free? Have you achieved such freedom? Share your thoughts below.

DEFINITELY THOUGHT PROVOKING
Date: Wed, 26 Jan 2000
From: Kristin

I picked the movie out of the video store w/ no knowledge of what it was about. The video store manager told me it was some foreign film and asked if I wanted to exchange it for something else, but I decided to watch it any way. I loved it. I don't know if I believe in astroprojection though, but it would be amazing if it could. I read a book that was similar in consept to the movie, called "The Celestine Prophecy" and the sequel "The Tenth Insight" both by James Redfield. Anyone who liked the movie should read those books also, they are very interesting. Thanx for your time,

Kristin

THOUGHT PROVOKING
May 27, 1999. A magnificent film. Thought provoking, tender, insightful. I can't wait to see it again. Wonderful acting. - Steve M.

PLEASANTLY SURPRISED
May 26, 1999. I had the chance to see the film "Eden" and I was pleasantly surprised. The idea of the spirit leaving the body when you are in dream like status was fascinating. What was more appealing was how the movie was able to mix the MS with the revolting housewife syndrome of the early 1960's. Overall I felt it was an intelligent film and I am sorry that it didn't get more press. -Matthew

HAPPY WITH IT
May 09, 1999. Only saw a small piece but was happy with it. Plan to watch the rest when it shows again. I hope.-Annette
