A Christmas Carol for Annie

Recommendation: Rent/Queue it

Christmas in October? Yes, this is Adventures from the Book of Virtues' version of Charles Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol. I wrote a review a few months ago on this series, which did not capture the attention of my sons. For some reason this episode did. They were quite enthralled with the telling of Annie, who turns Scrooge and wants to turn an annual benefit play into a "business venture." After meeting with the three ghosts of Christmas she repents and turns from her wicked ways.

I am glad that my boys were entertained with this Adventures DVD. The lessons from A Christmas Carol are timeless, as seen through the many homages that are out there. I hope that they learn that their choices have consequences, not just for them but those around them. I must have seen this theme play on more than one TV show growing up. That lesson has been ingrained into me. Here's praying the seed has been planted in my sons as well.

I recommend getting this at your local video store or putting it on your online queue.
