Executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer’s incisive and incendiary missing persons procedural continues for a third season of superb primetime storytelling. Anthony LaPaglia heads the cast as sensitive senior agent Jack Malone, who knows every second counts when someone vanishes, and who keenly feels each second tick away while the hunt is on. Joining Agent Malone are Samantha Spade (Poppy Montgomery), whose good looks complement a tough, complex approach to her work; Vivian Johnson (Marianne Jean-Baptiste), a no-nonsense investigator with a special insight into victims’ families; Danny Taylor (Enrique Murciano), whose sensitivity is covered up by his street smarts; and the straitlaced Martin Fitzgerald (Eric Close). Complications arise for the team at the start of the season when the personal invades the professional and Malone finds himself undermining one of his most trusted associates.
