10. Two words—Beatles Musical.

9. There’s just something about those pasty white European boys these days.

8. Did I mention Bono?!

7. Six years and counting since Baz Luhrman’s last movie. At least one more year until his next. About time someone else stepped in to feed the withdrawal.

6. Just because you don’t drop acid doesn’t mean watching someone else’s cinematic acid trip isn’t a great time.

5. Two completely different cuts. Soap opera level battle between artsy and commercial. Who wouldn’t want to see the outcome?

4. Because every song we have ever loved is about real people, real lives, and real stories.

3. Because not all of us are the man with the megaphone. Everyone is not meant to be the man with the megaphone. And sometimes music and creative expression are the only things that can truly help us to deal with, process, and make sense of whatever crazy world surrounds us.

2. Because in a world where love seems to fall apart at the drop of a hat, we all need a story to remind us that there exists a love that will travel across the universe to keep on going.

1. Because somewhere along the line we have heard about a place where all you need is love and strawberry fields last forever. And deep down inside, we really would like to believe that that world might actually be a part of this one we are in.
