The Country Has Charm

Reel Love is a 2011 TV movie that aired on CMT. It stars LeAnn Rimes and Burt Reynolds. It's about a successful woman named Holly Whitman (LeAnn Rimes) who lives in the big city but is called back to her father's (Burt Reynolds) home in the country after his heart attack. Back in the country, she realizes how much it has to offer!

LeAnn is a very talented actress. I was impressed with her performance, given this was my first time seeing her act. She made her character absolutely adorable. I really enjoyed every minute she was on screen.

One would be crazy to call Burt a bad actor, but he didn't seem like he was having the best time being in the film. Maybe he played his character a little too well, I don't know. But it seemed like all the other actors were more into it than he was.

The movie definitely got a little silly at some parts, like when Holly and three girls sat in a hot tub and howled over and over while drinking margaritas. I've never had alcohol before, so I don't know what I'd be like drunk, but I found the constant howling to be a little cheesy.

The message of this movie is to learn how to cherish the life that God gave you. It was when she was in another town and after her father's heart attack that Holly learned what was really important.

Just like the country, the movie has charm. It's a cute chick flick. So, it pretty much goes without saying that this one is for the girls!
