Sibley Interview Transcript
NarniaWeb has posted a transcript of a recent radio interview with Brian Sibley, Lewis and Tolkien scholar. There is such wonderful theology and wisdom in the Chronicles of Narnia that I guess I can go along with a plan that might make more adults revisit books that they thought must be left in their childhood. However, speaking from the experience of "falling in love" with the Harry Potter books, no cover is going to keep me from a public display of what I am reading. Of course, I really don't ever plan to completely grow up, either!
You know, the more I thought about that interview, the more petty the conversation seemed. And it really surprised me, because I admire and respect Sibley's work. I mean really—what cover artwork will ever fully capture the content and spirit of a book?
