Dr. Michael Ward, author of Planet Narnia, will officially “launch” his book at the Wade Center at Wheaton College in Illinois. Ward is scheduled to appear at the Wade Center from 7:00 – 8:00 pm (CST) on Thursday, January 10, 2008. (The Wade Center is the famous repository of books and papers of “The Seven” British authors: Owen Barfield, G. K. Chesterton, C. S. Lewis, George MacDonald, Dorothy L. Sayers, J.R.R. Tolkien and Charles Williams.)

Acclaimed by leading Lewis scholars, including Walter Hooper and Tom Shippey, Planet Narnia claims to have solved the “the secret imaginative key” to the Narnia books. According to Ward, each book corresponds to the ancient “seven planets” — Sun (Sol), Moon (Luna), Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn.
