As I have been reporting, a couple in Scotland bought the domain name Narnia.mobi in 2006. They have stated the purpose for buying it was so that their son could have a unique e-mail address. The C S Lewis Company, responsible for the literary estate of the famous author, filed a complaint with the World Intellectual Property Organization to have the domain transferred to the company’s control.
In a decision apparently handed down today, WIPO ruled that the the domain should be transferred. Gillian Ferguson, the mother of the boy, said she was shocked by the decision. There is no word of any comment by the C S Lewis Company.
