Majid Majidi has captured in a very profound way the deep spiritual dimension that exists between a brother and a sister, and within family. He captures the essence of the human hope, courage and the potential that God has placed in all humans.

It echos the same profound sense of family we read about in the story of Abraham and his 'sister' Sarah and their family. Abraham is the father of faith and hope. He is the father of Arabs, Jews and Christians. It is Abraham's God that we all worship and trust.

This is one of the best movies I have ever seen! It has a very simple story that even younger children can understand. It also clearly displays that "people are people", no matter what religion or race or nationality. Fathers and mothers love their children. Children crave the love and respect of their parents. Kids will try to hide things from their parents if they think Mom or Dad will get mad. No matter how "rich" or "poor" you are, there is always someone "richer" or "poorer" than you - the key to happiness is learning to enjoy your lot in life. You can't go wrong watching this movie! The little girl in this movie is completely adorable.

NOT A MOVIE, BUT A GLIMPSE OF LIFE

I wept throughout this entire movie. It was extraordinary! I wish that it be included in every school curriculum for THE lesson on values, love, and loyalty. The child actors were amazing...hardly seemed like a movie but rather a glimpse at life. Can this most beautiful film be rented anywhere or will it ever be for sale? I have so many I want to have see it!
