This is a series about redemption and God's love and no matter what he is still looking out for us even after we fail. This series is about a detective Ezekiel Stone and his quest for redemption and his place in heaven after being sent to hell for murdering his wife's rapist. The story begins with Stone being enlisted by the devil to come back to earth after 15 years in hell and retrieve 113 souls that escaped from hell, in return he is promised redemption and a release from hell. He wants this because he is a good person and God knows this and works to help him achieve this goal. He also wants this because he still loves his wife and wants to reunite with her after he has earned his redemption and life back on earth. Each episode deals with 1 or 2 souls that he is sent to track down and send back. He has to pierce their eyes because they are the windows to the soul. There are also 113 tattoos on his body and as he eliminates each one a tattoo burns off. In the Friday 2/6/99 episode Stone is started to show signs of stress from having to deal with the devil when he sees his wife for the first time since being back on earth. The devil starts to try even more tormenting behavior when God sends down Satan's twin, a good angel to help fight for Stones soul and help him save his wife's life during a bank robbery. The angel reassures Stone that his work on earth is appreciated by God and to keep his faith. In the coming weeks Stone realizes that the evil souls are moving into the neighborhood where his wife lives because they realize that his love for her is the only thing that will keep him from sending them back to hell. This is a great program that deals with redemption, consequences of our actions, good and evil, undying love that has transcended time, humor in the way Stone keeps beating the devil much to his dismay, scripture and its relevance to situations and God's unwavering love for us even if we fail and his efforts to set things right for a truly good man who had an all to human moment that cost him his salvation and his efforts to get it back. Fox is deciding on whether to cancel this program and I feel that good programming is vital to sending messages to people young and old that help teach lessons in life and about God's love for us.

Watch it a few times and it will really make you think about the consequences of even the smallest things we do in our daily life and how it affects not just ourselves but the people around us. This program need a chance to reach more people. Each episode delves deeper into the struggle between Stone and the devil and the angel God has sent to intervene on Stone's behalf. Please respond to this message and help keep it on this air.

PETITION TO SAVE BRIMSTONE
Feb 9, 1999. Good evening, Rev. Bruce. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Steven S. Hood, one of the main coordinators of the current campaign to save the television show, Brimstone. Barbara Arnold has written me about your site, and the work that you've done, and I thought you might be interested about the site I established at the beginning of the campaign toward saving the show. You can visit it at www.geocities.com/TelevisionCity/Network/3610 to see some of what's been going on. It has the information to write both Fox and Warner, as well as a bit more about the show, the petition that was started on January 29th, 1999, and other information as well.
The main place you'll see alot of information is over at the WB Brimstone Message Board, located at www.brimstonetv.com. Thanks for taking an interest in the show, and for your input and help. Every bit is appreciated.
Thanks- Steven S. Hood (nexus_dragon)

UPDATE FROM FOX
Subject: Brimstone
Date: Fri, 19 Feb 1999 18:29:25 -0800

We are sad to announce that BRIMSTONE did not improve its viewership over the past month. In fact, the ratings showed a DECLINE in viewers - despite greater promotion and publicity.

In a mutual decision by the network and the show's producers, BRIMSTONE will not resume production. BRIMSTONE's last telecast is FRIDAY, MARCH 12, 1999.

Thank you all for all your support on this troubled show. Your voice was heard and was DEFINITELY a factor in our decision. Unfortunately, despite the fervent fans sending E-mails and calling and writing in, it did not translate to more viewers for the show.

Thanks for writing

UPDATE FROM STEVE HOOD
Subject: We need more than just support!

This doesn't concern Fox at all. And quite frankly, Fox has no business whatsoever on determining the course of Brimstone. That right is Warner's and Warner's exclusively. But as to Fox, that is a situation I plan to do something about seperately (their actions are coming dangerously close to media misrepresentation of both the neilson report and another production house).

As for the campaign itself, we've come so far. We have the endorsement from several different media sources, loyal fans, a PR that looks damn great!, an ad to develop and place, letters that everyone writes every day. This is what campaigns do on a regular basis. Sometimes it takes a very long time, but it hasn't detered anyone. We have several things working for us. A President who is sympathetic to Brimstone, a cast and crew that have thanked us on numerous times, and a growing body of sources who are finding out about Brimstone and are voicing their own complaints about how the show was treated. I don't see how we can stop now, with everything that's been going for us.

But if some are no longer interested, I understand. No one here I'm sure wants to force anyone to do something they don't want to do. I hope we can stand together and make a statement. I hope we can see that what's we're doing is noble, and is for a good cause. Everyone helps in their own way. Some just write letters. Others go out and tell other people about the show. Some contact the media and the networks. Some are good at rallying. Some can amass information like I can't believe. We all pitch in, and we all count.

If this appears like a motivational piece, I plead guilty. But we really have a chance here to say something, both about Brimstone, about the industry, and about what we as viewers consider quality programming. There's so much working for us.

So let's put this whole mess with Fox behind us and focus on what really counts.

ANALYSIS OF "IT'S A HELLUVA LIFE."
From Kayla
katygale@usaserve.ne

March 8, 1999. I wrote an analysis of the episode, "It's a Helluva' Life" in which Stone is ostensibly shown his past by the devil and an angel. The analysis was written for a list that discusses all sci-fi/fantasy shows.

I love the current trend for tv shows to deal with spiritual issues, and am particularly interested in Brimstone because of its strict interpretation of the wages of sin. So often in contemporary media, the good guys do violence and are rewarded - which is not what the great spiritual leaders have taught.

Ah, the questions. I love shows with questions.

Was Zeke damned before he killed the rapist? Is he responsible for the drug dealer's death? Was there really an angel talking with Zeke or an elaborate 'carrot' created by the devil?

What is it that damns us? Our sinful deeds? Thoughts? Intentions? If the intention is good, can the deed damn us? Should it?

Anybody else think the angel was gay? Tying that hanky around his neck. Bwahaha! I loved it! Quite a change from the last show I remember that dealt with homosexuality and religion - the movie, _The Devil's Advocate_ - which seemed to suggest that sensuality and homosexuality were of the devil.

At first, I thought the producers were just saving money by having the angel be the same actor as the devil, but John Glover handled the differences so well that it worked.

In the flashback to when Mrs. Stone bought the old record, the newspaper Young Stone (YS) read had Reagan in the headline. Nice attention to detail.

Had anybody else recognized Stacy Haiduk from the picture Dead Stone (DS? <g>) kept looking at? I like the fact that somebody had planned the show this far ahead ... so that the picture he had been looking at matched his former wife.

"Kinda' makes your teeth hurt. Doesn't it, Mr. Stone?" - Devil

Why does the angel bring DS to a good moment in his past - the record-buying scene - and then leave him there for satan to come along and try to ruin it? What about this scene showed that YS was worthy of redemption? That someone else loved him?

I was really impressed with Horton's acting. I have seen better, but he did an admirable job of showing through facial expression and posture the tremendous range of feelings that DS was going through. My fave was when

satan brought DS to the pool hall. As DS watched his young self give in to lust, it's obvious he's embarrassed and ashamed. He tries to excuse his behavior by saying that he stopped and didn't go further than a kiss, but the way he kissed and groped her showed he *wanted* to go further.

According to Matthew 5:27-28, Jesus said, "You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.' But now I tell you: anyone who looks at a woman and wants to possess her is guilty of committing adultery with her in his heart."

So Stone had committed the sin of adultery even though he never unzipped his pants. Was he also guilty of murder every time he wanted to kill a suspect? We don't know that he thought along these lines, but his actions, his anger, suggested it.

Then satan tells Stone that the sins of one's life are cumulative. Unlike the money that appears in his pocket each morning regardless of where he is or how much he spent the previous day, sin keeps adding up. At least one of the reasons Moses was denied the right to enter the Promised Land (there may have been another that was more related to the other Israelites) was that he had killed an Egyptian as revenge for the E killing an Israelite. Stone killed Jax as revenge for J raping his wife. Moses was allowed to commune with god and to see the

Promised Land, but not to go there. Wonder how the parallel will apply to DS.

If doing good police work = lying and bullying and this behavior is damning, I guess I should be concerned about my NYPD Blue buddies. ;-) Satan tells DS that he missed his chance to get Jax before J could have begun his rape career ...

Dead Stone: "You really push a man to the brink."

Satan (laughing): "I am the brink."

DS: "I am the man." Pulls his gun and shoots the devil who, apparently vulnerable to the "Take out the eyes" thing, is zapped back to Hell.

Now I *really* like the fierceness of their dialogue, and feel for Stone given that the devil is tormenting him soooo much. BUT, DS acted out of anger. He had murder in his heart. How can the angel come in and say the action was good?

The devil comes busting into DS's room angry, but maintaining his composure (How did DS get back to his room? Why did it take satan more than a few seconds to get back? Why did the gun affect him in the first place?). Demands DS never do that again and DS doesn't promise.

Then, the terrifying, deadly serious, painful words from the devil, "You're not up for grabs, you know. You're mine." This isn't _Oh God, 2_ in which God plays cards for a man's soul. God isn't getting directly involved in Detective Stone's situation because He can't. According to the rules - assuming I'm understanding them correctly - satan owns Stone right now. If satan gets too frustrated with Stone's work of lack thereof, he can send DS back to hell. No get out of hell free cards.

But the angel rushes in to soften the blow, "Your future hasn't even been written yet. You and you alone will be its author."

Then the angel takes Stone to the park to show DS all the women who *weren't* attacked because DS got rid of Jax. But this creates another mixed message, and DS asks, "Wait a minute. You're justifying me killing Jax?"

"On ... no. But even Universal Law has, uh, what is it? Mitigating Circumstances."

"Well, just about everything I did had Mitigating Circumstances and I still went straight to Hell."

The angel doesn't respond. He just throws his hands up and kinda' laughs. If I'd been Stone, I'd have been quite upset. How can the angel be so cavalier about Stone spending fifteen years - and possibly eternity - in Hell?! How can he not answer the most important question about why Stone went to Hell?

After the angel leaves Stone at the cemetary, it seems DS has some time to consider his options. So when satan shows up and DS offers to trade his redemption for a chance to save his former wife, that's a huge self-sacrifice. I was kinda' surprised he didn't get some kind of forgiveness points from the angel at that time.

It was only on the second viewing that I understood how DS figured out he wasn't in a cemetary in New York. The dawning realization and the explanation was too quick and brief for my puny brain to keep up. Since the devil said he couldn't change time to help DS save his wife, DS figures that the devil can't change time at all. So, the devil couldn't have truly taken DS to the past or to different places. DS also had to assume that the angel couldn't move DS around, either. Too much of a stretch, imho. And the fact that everything happened in DS's head begs the question of who was really talking to him.

The ending music, that was playing after the robbery and while DS watched his wife, "Why? Why? How many times do I have to tell you that I'm sorry for the things I've done?" I loved it and thought it was perfect. I cried ... Good, cleansing tears. BTW, the song is from the Diva album by Annie Lennox.

I like what the angel said about Stone holding off from speaking to his 'widow', although he didn't present any kind of theological basis to support it. If he had, what do you think it would have been? DS still paying his debt?

"Yours is a Divine Purpose, Ezekiel."

That's not too much of a surprise. God would want the dead, damned wicked off the earth as much as the devil. The surprises, the problems come when one of the 113 isn't wicked all the way through like the Nazi collaborator, or the wicked is judged by a god other than the one she worshipped like Ash.

"All in all, you lived a good life, Ezekiel. Have faith. Your work's appreciated."

Nice ending. I'm really glad that Zeke got a pat on the back from The Good Guy. Gloriously rich grey areas.

Peace and Giggles, Kayla

From: diana

i was obviously distraught when i found the show had been cancelled and while i haven't reached the end of the series yet i am pretty sure that it wasn't properly concluded as the makers were hoping for a second season. It would be nice if there was one or two episodes made after Zeke has sent all 113 back two hell and what happens to him. Like does the devil try to renegade his promise but god steps in. Or does Stone go to heaven or does he reunite with his wife after 15/6 years or maybe god sends him back to before he killed the rapist with Stone remembering everything and since he knows when he was killed he can not go to wherever it was that he died and he doesn't kill the rapist only sends him to jail . I know that likely hood of the show coming back are a million to one but still it would be nice if 2 (or an extra long one) was made so all us fans could have a conclusion. If 2 episodes are two expensive to make then it would be nice if a book was written in the same style as the Buffy, Angel and Charmed books are.

I was happy to find a site that was still talking about Brimstone. As I believe that the vast majority of Hollywood is of Satan, I was not surprised regarding the cancellation of the show. As the series progressed, I found myself contemplating my life and soul, how awful, a series with redeeming value! I still hold out hope for a movie or a continuation of the series by some up and coming producer. I would even consider a cash contribution to help it get started. Barbara, keep up the good work! Hi, like a lot of people out there, I'm a huge Brimstone fan and feel that the show should never have been cancelled. Anyway, I'm just wondering what the chances are for a Brimstone DVD collection? A collection full of all 13 episodes and a butch of extras and out takes would absolutely rule! Thanks for your help.

SECOND CHANCE

I like Brimstone, but I was shocked at the way most of the "dammed" characters are portrayed. When I see the "souls" being returned to Hell, I felt sorry for them because they lost a second chance for living and starting life over again. In addition, it seems like the show is glorfying the Devil and Hell. In the future, I suggested that the person who played the detective E. Stone should work on a more righteous show that has God on his side. Therefore, the whole family can watch the show.
Michael Reed
P.S. These two can be responsible for the cancellation of Brimstone on FOX.

BRIMSTONE THEOLOGY
Date: Wed, 28 Feb 2001
From: KAPTEYN

I have never seen the show. I think I avoided it because the previews showed it was based on bad theology. I read your previous e-mail to someone who objected to the theology. You say that the show could be used to discuss what is and isn't good or bad theology. While this is true, there are many people who already believe that they will go to heaven as long as they don't do anything really bad. Many people who watched the show would not end up discussing it with someone who could correct that impression, but would just be reinforced in their faulty beliefs. I do watch "Touched by an Angel," but cannot promote it for the same reason. It's nice to have a clean, non-violent show that isn't afraid to mention the name of God other than in vain, but they are encouraging the same faulty belief mentioned above. Even the goodness of the most righteous person on earth is like filthy rags compared to God's righteousness. No one will go to heaven unless they accept Christ's salvation from sin and it's punishment, which includes letting Him be lord of your life. The show "Twice in a Lifetime" also promotes the idea of a second chance after death and of how good or bad you've been being the determining factor of where you go. It doesn't happen that way, but most viewers will not end up in a discussion group that would correct the misinformation.

I watched Bimstone on Fox, but quite honestly, Fox doesn't keep any really good shows. Sorry, X-Files. Simpsons and all those cop videos don't interest me. I was wonderung if the producers would apporch TED TURNER at TNT. If he could be convinced to fund Brimstone, and show him all the support of the fans he might just do it. Another person who might want to try his hand on the small screen, George Lucas. It's worth a try. There's so much junk on tv now that we only watch one or two programs. Hope this will help.

I faithfully watched Brimstone the first time it came on,and was very disapointed when it was cancelled. I think Peter Horton is great. I can now see the re-runs on the Sci-Fi channel four times on Friday nights, and it is worth staying up late for, even if it means being tired at work the next day !!!
I wish that they could make more episodes of it.

QUESTIONS THEOLOGY OF BRIMSTONE
Date: Wed, 24 Nov 1999
From: B. Norton.

I have never seen this show, but I am a bit troubled by your apparent take on it. The bottom line is that the theology of the show is contrary to Scripture. We are ALL already dead in trespasses and sins without Jesus and headed for the lake of fire. It is ONLY through the completed, substitutionary work of Christ on the cross that we are granted eternal life, through faith in Him. If this program offers any other means of redemption, it is simply the same old false gospel, packaged in slightly more acceptable wrappings but still false. No one is released from hell
with a chance at redemption again, as this show seems to wrongly suggest. This life is the only "chance". Once a soul is in hell it is too late. I find it sad that Christians are apparently praising this show, since it is so off scripturally. Maybe you could enlighten me as to why.
B Norton
Massachusetts
(do not include my e-mail)

My response: Theologically you are right. However, what the show offers is a way to talk about afterlife, faith, and God. The show makes no claim to be THE GOSPEL, or even to be another gospel. It is a fictitious story. The writers are not theologians, but rather, they are story tellers who have the courage to write about spiritual things in for prime time television. Bible passages that might relate to the show would be 1 Corinthians 3:11-15 and Mark 9:45-50. "Everyone will be salted with (hell) fire " (Mark 9:49) "the fire will reveal ...and test ...they will suffer loss ...(But) they will be saved, but only through fire" (1 Cor. 3:13-15). These are not popular passages and are seldom quoted. We are "saved by grace through faith" (Eph 2:8), but "judged according to (our) works" and held accountable (Rev. 20:12). This seems to be the thrust of the show.
See what we just did? We used the show to engage in a theological discussion about salvation. That is the value of the show.

IS BRIMSTONE THE "PRISONER" OF THE '90s?
June 2, 1999.

I, too, watched Brimstone from its inception and was utterly hooked. Atmospheric, intelligent, maybe even Jesuit in thought, Brimstone brought to the fore issues of free will morality thought to discuss in a society brimming with relativism's confusing lack of ethics. Several good shows besides Brimstone died in the same time slot, and such makes me wonder if the 7:00 pm central time slot on Fridays is a tax write-off spot for someone. Brimstone may have been too confusing for those not schooled in pre-Genesis mythology: Lucifer's fall predates the fall of Adam, and how many young people even know of it? Then again, I know of young people who may have been rooting for the 113 who escaped. Slating Brimstone at the time it occupied was its death knell from the beginning. I feared for its life from the beginning; it was in a bad spot, and basically too good for television. The golden age of television, a period of live plays, serious examinations of the human dilemma, was a brief period of excellence in American tv because people wanted Cid Caesar and Uncle Milty and the like, and not Requiem for a Heavyweight or Twelve Angry Men. If only Fox had run Brimstone after Millennium instead of before it. What wiz kid in the programming department at Fox picked that one? This is what happens when bean counters, who may not even understand the medium involved, do the programming. I apologize for my scattered entry here, but writing in this little box is tough. Is Brimstone "the Prisoner" of the nineties? Let's hope not. -Peter

FOX DOESN'T DESERVE BRIMSTONE
May 08, 1999.

Four years ago, the X-Files was running last in its Friday night slot. Today it has the widest, most fanatical following of any television show. I don't think Brimstone had THAT much potential, but it certainly would have attracted a loyal, steady, growing audience for FOX. In a way, though, as long as somebody else picks up the series, I'm glad it won't be on FOX. That's one of the trashiest networks on TV, basic OR cable. From a spiritual standpoint, Brimstone was a challenging, thought provoking series. I don't get my theology from television, so I'm most concerned about the general approach and general messages. Hope it comes back somewhere. -Mark

UNDERDOG IS CASH COW
May 3, 1999.

Somebody get the message to WB! The public loves to root for an underdog, and this particular pup could be a cash-cow for WB. People will tune in just to see what the hub-bub is about. And in seeing the show once, they will be hooked.\ Guaranteed. This show is crafted so that those who don't crave too much thought with their TV will be entertained, while those o us who like a good quandry are enthralled by all of the questions this show raises. Every parallel can be made to the early X-Files seasons except one: Brimstone was cancelled. Someone please get WB to see the wisdom in this. They already have a night where spiritual/supernatural is the theme. It might be worth a thought for them to include Brimstone on the same prime-time ticket as the new "Buffy" spin off. It sounds like it may work. Lets keep up the pressure, folks! -Todd

COULDN'T BELIEVE IT WAS CANCELLED
April 13, 1999.

My husband and I couldn't believe that Brimstone was cancelled. We loved the show, but, unfortunately, we didn't get to see it often because of other conflicts. We kept watching for it to come back on and even sat through that awful Guiness to see if it would come on after. We just found out that it was to be no more. Had we only known it would be so short lived, we would have had someone tape every episode. I'm all for this campaign. Brimstone IS a great show and we truly miss it. We're voting and writing. -Kelly

HOPE WB COMES THROUGH FOR US!!!
April 09, 1999.

Brimstone is a great show. It starts with an interesting concept and then moves on to a series of thoughtful, though exciting storylines. It's the best new show I saw on TV this fall. I've been shipped off to Bosnia, and it's sad to think Brimstone won't be there waiting for me when I get back. Let's keep our fingers crossed that perhaps Warner Bros. might come through for us.

In my opinon brimstone is one of the better show on tv today much better than all those sitcoms that are springing up on all the networks look at the history of fox sci-fi series star trek the original that aired on NBC during the sixties when that show was on the brink of cancellation tens maybe hundreds of thousands of fans wrote in supporting the shows and the shows was saved for another season after 4 movies or so the series returns to tv with an all new cast on fox they took a chance with the next generation and that series lasted 7 years even if the first series was cancelled and on to sliders another sci-fi series on fox after 3 seasons they thought it wasn't popular enough to continue so they cancelled it. the sci-fi network pick it up for a fourth season and sliders became one of the highest rated shows in the history of the sci-fi network and now fox is about to end brimstone which will be another lost series to the fox network when it becomes a highly watched and popular series on another network

BRIMSTONE, A BRIGHT GEM
March 24, 1999.

Brimstone is a bright gem in a pile of rubbish. So much of the fare presented by the major networks is just trash, especially the "When Animals Attack" type of garbage put out by a certain network. Such shows are degrading. Brimstone became my favorite show from episode #1. Yes, I was one of the lucky ones who saw all the episodes produced, and not one was bad. For a while we had a perfect evening of TV with Brimstone and Millennium, but of the two Brimstone had better stories and better acting. --Phil Musgrave, Hawaii musgrave@email.com

THE FILMING, ACTING WAS ALL GREAT
March 18, 1999.

I only got the chance to watch one episode, but the filming, the acting, it was all great. I think people who like any kind of gothic like show, any shows that deal with the supernatural etc would love this show. Its weird though, since it was fluke that I even know the show exists, it was so poorly marketed that I stumbled upon it by sheer chance.–Howard

FOX, SEEMINGLY, DOESN'T WANT EXCELLENCE
March 17, 1999.

"Tis the best, thought out and soul searching show on TV!" Excellence seems to be something that Fox didn't want. But--God works in mysterious ways so on to a new network, I hope!

HAS A MULTITUDE OF QUALITIES
March 17, 1999.

This show is full of such a multitude of qualities! It has such humor, the music is such a mesmerizing sound which flows which the awesome camera shots! To add to all this brilliance is the witty conversations between our hero, Zeke and the devil - and Zeke always comes up on top! How can he not! He is a flawed human but a good human! Throw in there a dash of moral dilemas and you've got a show for all senses! I am fighting for this one!

BRIMSTONE, A REFRESHING CHANGE
March 17, 1999.

I love this show. The acting is terrific. The scripts are wonderfully written. This show is worth saving because it is not like anything else on television and that is a refreshing change. We must continue the fight. --Krista kgerber@webtv.net

WRONG TO CANCEL
March 12, 1999.

I love Brimstone, I really do hope that another network picks up the show. FOX never gave the show a chance, and I think it's worng of them to cancel the show. It's too bad that they don't realize that not evryone likes cartoons & soap operas. That seems to be all that they choos to broadcast anymore. cjl@southwind.net

HOOKED AND OUTRAGED
March 11, 1999.

Well of course I'm a bit outraged at the cancellation of this series. I don't have cable yet, but it aired on a Canadian channel I get. I'll admit I wasn't impressed by the commercails for it, but once I watched it I was hooked. I couldn't stop talking about it, and my cousin, in Mexico at the time, even agreed to watch it when she returned! I began to faithfully tape the episodes for her, but the next week it was gone. Overtaken by what I'd learned earlier with the X-Files was a fanatical cult-hit obsession I begged a friend to use her sattelite dish, and watched it on FOX. Sadly, the next week, it was gone from there as well. I had witnessed the same thing with American Gothic, and it just kills me that a great cult tv show like Brimstone has to go that way as well. There's no financial reason for it, even if it's ratings were slow this show is headed for the same place as Xena and the X-Files, a strong following that watches the show with our without Sweep's months' tricks and gadgets, and a huge merchandizing potential where obsessed fans will buy anything related to the show. I've watched it happen with the X-Files, it would have happened with American Gothic (and kinda still does) and I'd like to see it happen with Brimstone. It will, given the chance. Please e-mail me if anything new turns up dstumbaugh@hotmail.com thank you, ~~LadyDarkwulf

RARE GEMSTONE OF TELEVISION
Mar 9, 1999.

I am so happy to know that "Brimstone" is appreciated by so many people. It is a truly unique show dealing with the modern issues of the decade, all the while keeping with the moral, spiritual ideas of damnation and redemption that are central to the show. Not only does it display that God exists, but that He is forgiving, even to a soul already damned for a crime of vengeance. There are second chances, even after life... which is why fans are banding together to save this rare gemSTONE of television.--Liz Kent

KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING
March 9, 1999.

A wonderful show that has great potential to be the biggest show on TV. It deserves a second chance. The advertisers as well as FOX and WB execs need to hear from us. We need to stay focused and keep the momentum going.

THE PROBLEM IS NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT IT
March 8, 1999.

Brimstone is the first show that I have given up an hour for every week, regardless of what's going on. I save the clubs till later. I don't even particularly likeT.V., however, Brimstone managed to capture the interest of those of us that are sick of the mainstream bandwagon of benign intellectual pursuit that sadly enough is so prevalent on the tube today. Every aspect of this show is spectacular from the dark, gloomy filming to the quick wit and intelligent humor that is constantly throughout the show. I give Kudos to Peter Horton in his efforts and would want him to know that his show is the best hour on T.V. as far as my friends and I are concerned. The problem with Brimstone is that no one knows about it. I talk to people about it and they've never heard about it. How stupid can one be to place this show when most of the viewers that would like the show are the ones that are out and about on Friday night. Sure enough when they do view the show, everyone I know that has seen it watches it adamantly now. It would be a great shame to see the show go off the air and I'll do my best to find the support of those over the Internet. --Thanks Wiz Mike Wizniak vishnue7@hotmail.com

ONLY INTERESTING SHOW ON FOX
March 8, 1999.

I was hooked from the first show. It was a really thought-provoking show. How could you not be touched by the thought of how it would feel to come back from the dead, from hell no less, and see the wife you lost, remember the days you had together, remember the taste of a chocolate, the feel of grass under your feet. I can't say why this show has been canceled. But, to think that the big world out there wants nothing more thought-provoking than the "worlds greatest disasters" or "worst medical cases" is disgusting. Does no-one out here want to think? Just have brainless mind-candy where you can be entertained be viewing someone else's misfortune, accident or death? Save Brimstone! It's a lot more interesting than 99% of the rest of Fox's programs! --Cats

SAVE BRIMSTONE
March 8, 1999.

Dear HollywoodJesus,
Please, please, do more to save Brimstone!

FANS WILL FOLLOW IT TO ANY NETWORK
March 7, 1999.

I am here in an effort to help save this wonderful program. I can not access this site and have enlisted help on the vote and message. Thank you for all the work you have done on this site for Brimstone and the viewers. I miss it already and 3/12/99 is the last air date until we find it a new home. 4-5 million+ dedicated viewers (not counting Canada which has a huge Brimstone following) will follow it to any network.-- Inna

IT MUST SURVIVE
March 7, 1999.

Brimstone is the best show on tv! It must survive. It deals with the spiritual workings of the universe better than any other show, including Touched By An Angel. If we work together, we can bring Brimstone back. Keep the faith! –Andrew

SUPERNATURAL SHOW FOR ALL RELIGIONS
March 7, 1999.

Many people like to go out on Friday nights and therefore have not had the chance to realize what a brilliant series that Brimstone is. What could be a better premise than a supernatural cop show that obviously appeals to people of all religions .I personally would like to still see FOX run the show by possibly airing it in the X-Files time-slot on Sunday nights while that show would be just running re-runs. That way they could expose Brimstone to a wider fanbase of people who like paranormal programs. It's up to FOX to do or be damned because by disappointing so many loyal viewers, their executives just may find it very ironic when it comes time for their coporeal existance to be canceled.

IT'S THOUGHT PROVOCKING
March 6, 1999.

Brimstone is one of the most thought-provoking shows on TV, and it is a shame that a series that deals seriously with the Christian world view (and in a totally engrossing way) has been treated so despicably by Fox. In addition, Fox has treated Brimstone's fans in the same manner. Perhaps this is why network television is consistantly losing viewers - - it fails to respond to listen to the viewers. Bonnie

POSITIVE MESSAGE
March 6, 1999.

My husband and I love Brimstone. It was the first tv show in a long time that we actually watched every week, no matter what. It was beautifully produced and really had such a positive message. We hope some network will save it. Thanks for the opportunity to share my thoughts. Debbie Wagar

WORTH SAVING
March 5, 1999.

This is a great show. It is certainly worth saving even if means going to another network. The writing is good and the actors are terrific. I became so attached to the show in such a short time that I cannot imagine Fox opting to show such things as "Worlds Worst, Best Most... whatever. They are all full of violence and destruction. For this reason I have given up on Fox as a network worth watching. M.H.
