make their way to local theaters.Oh, and celebrated authors release new books to the general public.
This month, we find Dean Koontz and Patricia
Cornwell offering fiction works of mystery and suspense, while
nonfiction titles come from popular characters in American culture,
such as William Shatner, Jimmy Buffett, and Yogi Berra.
At Hollywood Jesus, we're working to provide
quality reviews of these and other works that inform, challenge, and

Is there a cure?
Kinnaman explores what I'll call a
twenty-first century spiritual truth: "Christianity has an image
problem." The book stuck with me days after I finished it and will
serve as a means for data and information for discussions with other
folks.

I found myself thinking that the way in
which Yeshua deals with his own knowledge in Anne Rice's work could be
as controversial as Oliver Stone's take on the assassination of JFK.

For the last seven years, Walden Media has created quality
entertainment designed to be family-friendly. Their body of work mainly
includes film adaptations of children's books (Because of Winn-Dixie, Charlotte's Web, Bridge to Terabithia) as well as original works such as Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. Most recently, Walden released Nim's Island and is ready to deliver the second movie in The Chronicles of Narnia series, Prince Caspian, on May 16th.
But there's more to Walden Media than just films, as the company is beginning to delve into the publishing arena.
I recently had the opportunity to interview Chip Flaherty, Executive
Vice President of Walden Media, and find out more about their vision
and what's on the horizon for both readers and viewers.

What struck me more than the cover photo of
a baby wearing a $100 bill as a diaper was the book's subtitle: "How we
are sold on $800 strollers, fetal education, baby sign language,
sleeping coaches, toddler couture, and diaper wipe warmers-and what it
means for our children."
