Alisa Turner’s self-titled EP has officially released.
It was worth the wait!

Alisa TurnerAs I indicated in my recent interview with Alisa, she has been my “like a daughter” friend for nearly a decade. I have followed her journey down the path of serious illness with multiple misdiagnoses, a plethora of uncertain treatments and no known cure, the tragic loss of her infant son and dreams unfulfilled. Through it all, I have had the holy honor of being witness to her facing her toughest days and watching her faith grow stronger.

There are a handful of people in my life who inspire me to breathe in deeply the goodness of God in the midst of trials, Alisa is one of them. She may be young and small but this girl can fight for her life like David fought Goliath – often with only a small stone to throw at her enemy.

Of course, the dream of anyone with creative talent is to make a living using their gift but Alisa has continually shared her soul with others even when the money wasn’t coming in. Her music is not about a career playing the piano or using her voice, it is about leading others to worship the One who has saved her and held her together throughout her life. “There’s just something in me that has to do it.” ~Alisa Turner

Alisa is the real deal if there ever was one. By “real deal”, I mean that her heart is as honest, caring, genuine, generous and life-giving as her music is. What you see of and hear from Alisa on stage or through your speakers is what you would find if she sat with you face to face in your living room just chatting. She lives to love God and worship Him and she loves it even more when she gets to take others there with her. Alisa very much sings from the overflow of her heart and her heart is full even when her body fails her.

“I want to share from the heart and keep it real. I want to be a blessing.” ~Alisa Turner

Every single one of the songs on the album could easily be classified as a favorite of mine but if I could only choose one, I would choose “My Prayer for You”.

May God give you eyes to see
He’s still greater
Courage to rise and believe
He’s able
May God be your peace in the fire
You’re walking through
This is my prayer now
This is my prayer for you

I can assure you that you will not regret adding this album to your daily worship playlist. Her heart filters through her beautifully unique voice and vocal styling and will encourage your soul. Make Alisa a part of your story as she has allowed so many of us to be a part of hers.

Purchase the EP on iTunes.
