There has never been a year like this one for God on television.
There
has never been any year in history that has features so much from
the Bible. Jesus Christ has already had one news specials and two
movies of his life and this is not counting the usual features about
Jesus during the upcoming Christmas season.
 NBC
aired the fantastic IN THE BEGINNING
-the Bible stories from Creation to Moses. And additionally, SOLOMON,
ESTHER, and JEREMIAH have been picked up by PAX-TV. We are witnessing
an unparalleled occurance in the history popular media.
NBC
aired MARY MOTHER OF JESUS a 2
hour made for televsion movie special on Jesus, although it aired
in November 1999, it set the tone for the amazing focus on Jesus
in 2000. In the year 2000 it appeared in every video store and Wal-Mart
in the known world.

This
was followed by ABC-TV's The Miracle Maker. -A claymation retelling
of the life of Christ. Without almost no pubilicty or promotion
on the part of ABC this 2 hour made for television movie was a ratings
hit. As a video it is currently selling like hot cakes at Wal-Mart
and everywhere else. I think every church in America with a Sunday
School program is buying at least one of these. -It was surprisinly
well done and biblically okay. And Jesus, believe it or not, looks

The Jesus Mini Seires. -A 4 hour event that was an instant #1
in the ratings. Hollywood Jesus has recieved so much feed back on
that Epic that it had to create 10 web pages to contain it all.
For many viewers, this was their first introduction to the life
of Jesus. Most people are not church goers. Also, many Christian
unfortunitly have little knowledge of the life of Christ. This series
presented a messiah that was as much human as divine. It was a powerful
retelling. And
it was quickly released on video tape and is available for rent
and purchase everywhere

Jennings did a 2 hour special on the SEARCH
FOR JESUS, and it too was a #1 ratings smash! Although this
show was disappointing to many, it created lots of talk. The response
mail to Hollywood Jesus has been awsome. For some reason this show
has not been released to the general market on video. Many have
ask for it.
On
Sunday November 12 and Monday November 13 NBC will air the fabulous
made for television epic movie, IN
THE BEGINNING. It has what I consider to be the best retelling
of the creation of the world that I have seen on film! I watched
the whole 4 hours of this film and was amazed. It is well written,
acted and produced. Mark your calendar. I have poste a ton of photo

Following
the Jesus Mini Series on CBS, PAX-TV picked up ESTHER, JEREMIAH
and SOLOMON from the same producer. I will do reviews on these films
within the next two months. I especial liked Esther and Solomon.
