God created us for worship. There are numerous verses in the Bible that speak to all of creation worshipping Christ. Because worship is a natural response ingrained in all of us, it seems natural that many of the worship songs that we seek would come straight from scripture. What better way to worship Christ than with his Word.

Today on our list we have 9 songs that are written straight from the scriptures. As you sing these songs meditate on the words and read the scriptures they are taken from.

“All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name. For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God.”

Psalms 86:9-10 (NIV)
