ON WHAT IS GRACE

(1.) Favor, kindness, friendship (Genesis 6:8; Genesis 18:3; Genesis 19:19; 2 Tim. 1:9).

(2.) God's forgiving mercy (Romans 11:6; Ephes. 2:5).

(3.) An action as distinguished from rigid unforgiving law (John 1:17; Romans 6:14; 1 Peter 5:12).

(4.) Gifts freely bestowed by God; as miracles, prophecy, tongues (Romans 15:15; 1 Cor. 15:10; Ephes. 3:8).

(5.) A powerful virtue (2 Cor. 8:7; 2 Peter 3:18).

(6.) The glory to be revealed (1 Peter 1:13).
